RENAISSANCE DANCE Music and dance have always been inseparable; First and foremost a popular entertainment which rhythms the year's festivities and various celebratory gatherings. CONCERT The period that witnessed the coming together of new inspiration and new forms of seduction saw at the same time the flourishing of new musical genres in the courts and the cities. Theses created a profound influence on their times and by extension the very foundations of European culture: the repertoire of the Troubadours, Ars Nova, Andalucian and Sepharadic Spanish music and Renaissance music. The ensemble Volubilis Florens has sought out its repertoire in this rich profusion of cross-fertilisation between composed and popular musical forms.
